The establishment of the so-called World Peace Council governing Gaza, led by the US President, the Israeli Prime Minister, the butcher of Iraq Tony Blair, and a handful of Jewish rabbis and perpetrators of war crimes against Arabs in Iraq, Syria, Palestine and Gaza, has had serious repercussions.
This comes after Israel exploited the opportunity of global and regional support for the questionable council to continue its colonial policies and tighten its siege, which is closer to occupation, in the Gaza Strip.
In addition, an atmosphere of cautious anticipation prevailed inside Gaza, and among international observers, following the issuance of a joint statement by 11 countries, including Britain, France and Canada, strongly condemning the systematic destruction and demolition crimes committed by the Zionist entity authorities against the UNRWA headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem.
This is a continuation of the crimes of silencing humanitarian workers from the United Nations and international non-governmental organizations, the latest of which was the non-renewal of the visa of the spokesperson for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Olga Cherevko, abbreviated as (OCHA).
In a statement, OCHA declared that what Israel is doing in Gaza City is “imposing a death sentence on the city and its people.”
It noted that the residents are now left with no choice but to leave or die.
She revealed that Israel is ordering hundreds of thousands of exhausted, weary, and terrified civilians to flee to overcrowded areas without adequate resources.
She emphasized that there are no longer any limits to the defiance of the United Nations and international law in the occupied Palestinian territory.
She reiterated her demand that the refugee issue must be resolved through a genuine political solution, not through criminal acts.
The Israeli colonial authorities had now set fire to and completely demolished the UNRWA headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem, in the latest attack on United Nations organizations, as part of ongoing attempts to undermine the status of Palestinian refugees in the occupied Palestinian territory and erase their history.
This comes amid leaks from within American decision-making circles that Trump intends to transform the governing peace council in Gaza into an alternative to the United Nations, making it the base for a new world order, emanating from the occupied and besieged Arab territories.
This is despite the denial of these leaks by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
