A political bombshell exploded in the faces of America’s rulers and the regimes orbiting in its sphere, those willing to participate militarily in an unjust war;
This came in the form of the sudden resignation announced by Mr. Joseph Clay Kent, Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, in protest against the American decision to wage war on Iran, which posed no threat to his country, given his position at the very top of the American national security hierarchy.
.
Resignation Letter:
After careful consideration, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.
Iran has not posed any direct threat to our country, and it is clear that we initiated this war as a result of pressure from Israel and influential American lobbying groups.
.
Iran is not Iraq – and China is the beneficiary.
It’s worth noting that Mr. Clay, in a television interview a year ago, answered a question from the renowned journalist, Mr. Tucker Carlson, about a potential American invasion of Iran.
Clay responded: “Of course, we could overwhelm their air and ground defenses, achieving some victories to boast about, but only temporarily.”
Let us remember what happened after the American invasion of Iraq, where the end result was utter chaos that continues to this day.
He explained: The matter is even greater with Iran because it is not just a state, but the Persian Empire; the oldest of any Asian state in the Middle East, it is impossible to crush militarily.
If the American administration considers toppling its regime, the opposition itself will rally around its leadership and become even more revolutionary and radical than the regime itself!
He warned that the real beneficiary of America being drawn into a new war in the Middle East is China, by draining American military and economic capabilities. Indeed, China could even pose a serious military threat to America’s borders in the Pacific.
