In an exceptional artistic and cultural event, the prestigious Egyptian Opera House in Cairo hosted the opening of the “Spectrums of the Two Holy Mosques” exhibition by the international Saudi photographer Susan Iskandar, which was inaugurated by the American Islamic preacher Mr. Sami Al-Jadawi with the participation of a select group of ambassadors, businessmen, artists, media figures and social media celebrities, in an event that highlights the spirituality of the Two Holy Mosques and showcases the tremendous efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving them.
This exhibition comes as a message of dedication and appreciation from the artist Suzan Iskandar to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, may God protect them, in appreciation of the great role of the Kingdom in caring for the guests of God. The exhibition is hosted by the artist Salah Taher’s hall, to present a visual experience that transports the visitor to the atmosphere of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque through spiritual moments pulsating with faith.
The exhibition began as a personal initiative that toured the United States of America in cooperation with the “Voice of the Muslim for Peace” Foundation and the “Ma’arij” Foundation, before expanding its scope to reach more than 57 countries around the world. Based on this remarkable success, the Saudi Ministry of Information officially adopted the exhibition, and its new version was launched from Makkah Al-Mukarramah under the patronage of the Director General of the Ministry in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, Mr. Abdul Khaliq Al-Zahrani, with Cairo being its first official global stop in preparation for future tours in the Gulf countries and the Arab world.
The exhibition includes about 80 photographic works that were taken through field effort without the use of drones, along with rare historical photos, some of which date back more than 150 years, presenting a visual journey that combines the fragrance of the past with the modernity of the present, and highlights the extent of the development that the holy sites have witnessed over the decades.

For her part, photographer Susan Iskandar affirmed that “Spectrums of the Two Holy Mosques” represents a human and spiritual journey aimed at documenting the sincere feelings of pilgrims and conveying them to the world. She highlighted the ongoing Saudi efforts since the reign of King Abdulaziz to the present day, as well as providing educational content that allows visitors to learn about the Two Holy Mosques before their visit. She also expressed her deep gratitude to the supporting entities, most notably the General Command of Security Aviation, King Fahd Air Base, the Ministry of Media, and the sponsoring national companies and organizers.

The exhibition received a wide response from the attendees, who were impressed by the beauty of the images and their human depth, praising the lens’s ability to create an emotional state that connects the viewer to the atmosphere of sacred feelings. The exhibition will continue to welcome its visitors until April 27, giving the public a rich visual journey that reflects the sanctity of the place and the greatness of giving.
