Armando Mei delivers an important lecture about his discoveries on the Giza Plateau at the Biogeometry Center in Maadi

Cairo – Amr AbduLRahman – Exclusive to [AISC News]

Archaeologist Armando Mei delivered an important lecture discussing his latest field discoveries on the Giza Plateau, part of what was once the world’s oldest capital city, Memphis.

This took place during an exceptional evening held yesterday at the Center for Bioengineering in Cairo, hosted by Dr. Ibrahim Karim in collaboration with Professor Wassim El-Sisi, and attended by an audience of Egyptologists, engineers, physicists, and scientific researchers.

The lecture reviewed the progress of the field research towards a new phase of direct investigation in the western sector of the Giza Plateau.

A key point of discussion was the need for a future operational protocol, developed in agreement with and under the direct supervision of the Egyptian authorities, that avoids direct drilling (non-invasive exploration). This protocol would allow for the further investigation of the numerous technical and morphological observations recorded during recent field surveys.

Particular attention was paid to the western section of the northern cliff, including observations related to the Bird Cemetery (NC2), a rock-carved cavity whose morphology, structural composition, and geological context warrant in-depth (non-invasive) scientific study.
