EVA Pharma and SCAALA Healthcare Launch Saudi Arabia’s First Triple-Combination Diabetes Treatment
EVA Pharma for Pharmaceutical Industries, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the Middle East and Africa in the development, manufacturing, and accessibility of medicines, and SCAALA Healthcare, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading healthcare distribution and biomedical solutions companies, have strengthened their existing partnership by launching the distribution of Triglyceric XR® Extended-Release in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Triglyceric XR® is the first fixed-dose combination tablet to combine empagliflozin, linagliptin, and metformin hydrochloride to receive approval in Saudi Arabia for the management of type 2 diabetes, in accordance with the medicine’s approved medical and regulatory information.
EVA Pharma has made the local manufacturing of Triglyceric XR® at its research and manufacturing complex in Sudair a priority. This initiative is part of the industrial complex’s announced plans to localize the manufacturing of 150 pharmaceutical products in the Kingdom, supporting Saudi Arabia’s priorities in pharmaceutical localization, enhancing medicine security, and promoting self-sufficiency under Saudi Vision 2030.

The agreement was signed in Jeddah in the presence of Yasser Yousef Naghi, CEO of SCAALA Healthcare, and Dr. Riad Armanious, CEO of EVA Pharma, on the sidelines of the Saudi Industry Forum.
The agreement further strengthens a partnership between the two companies that has been in place since 2008, reaffirming their continued cooperation in supporting patients’ access to approved treatment options through healthcare channels in the Kingdom, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
