AGTCM Research Award 2026
In 2026, the AGTCM (Ärztegesellschaft für Traditionelle Chinesische Medizin) will inaugurate the AGTCM Research Award, a new distinction dedicated to promoting high-quality research in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Endowed with €1,000, the award recognizes outstanding scientific or clinically oriented research that meaningfully contributes to the advancement of TCM therapeutic practice, strengthens its clinical foundations, and supports its integration into contemporary healthcare systems.
The prize is intended to encourage innovative thinking, methodological rigor, and a dialogue between traditional knowledge and modern research approaches. Particular value is given to work that demonstrates practical relevance, clinical applicability, and a clear contribution to patient-centered care.
The award ceremony will take place during the TCM Kongress Rothenburg in May 2026, one of the most important international forums for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Europe, offering the recipient high professional visibility within the international TCM community.
Applications are open until January 30, 2026, and are welcomed from researchers, clinicians, and practitioners engaged in advancing the scientific and therapeutic development of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
