Following Her Honor at the Arab League.. Samira Matouk Congratulates Emirati Women on Their Annual Day
Following her recent honor by the Arab Council for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development, organized jointly with the League of Arab States and under the patronage of the Association of Arab Universities, prominent Emirati businesswoman Samira Mahmoud Matouk, of Lebanese origin and Chairwoman of Matouk Group, extended her congratulations to Emirati women on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day.
Emirati Women’s Day is celebrated annually on August 28. The occasion was first launched in 2015 under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, widely known as the “Mother of the Nation,” in recognition of the achievements of Emirati women and their vital role as key partners in the UAE’s journey toward sustainable development and building the future.
Samira Matouk affirmed that Emirati women have succeeded, within a relatively short period of time, in assuming leading positions across various sectors and fields. She noted that they have achieved remarkable accomplishments in numerous areas, becoming an inspiring model for Arab women and earning a distinguished position at both the regional and international levels.
Matouk also praised the significant role played by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in supporting and empowering Emirati women across various fields. She emphasized that this continued support has provided Emirati women with a favorable environment in which to achieve their ambitions, unlock their potential, and actively contribute to the UAE’s remarkable journey of development and progress.
She added that the achievements of Emirati women are the result of a wise leadership vision that has believed in women’s capabilities and provided them with every opportunity for support, education, and empowerment, enabling them to become genuine partners in decision-making and in shaping the future.
