Professor Bo Zhiyun (薄智云) is a distinguished Chinese physician and scholar of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), internationally recognized as the founder of Bo’s Abdominal Acupuncture.
Since the 1970s, through decades of clinical observation, research, and teaching, he has developed an original acupuncture system based on the stimulation of specific abdominal points and on the theory of the Innate Meridian System, with particular emphasis on the regulatory role of the Shenque (CV8) area.
He is the founder and director of the Beijing Bo’s Abdominal Acupuncture Research Institute and has played a leading role in the teaching, standardization, and international dissemination of Abdominal Acupuncture. He also served as the founding president of the Abdominal Acupuncture Inheritance Committee of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS).
Professor Bo is the author of the important work 《腹针疗法》 (Abdominal Acupuncture Therapy) and has devoted more than fifty years to clinical practice, research, and the transmission of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
His method is now taught and practiced internationally and has become one of the best-known contemporary approaches in the field of abdominal acupuncture.

A partire dagli anni Settanta ha sviluppato, attraverso decenni di osservazione clinica, ricerca e insegnamento, un sistema originale di agopuntura basato sulla stimolazione di specifici punti dell’addome e sulla teoria del Sistema dei Meridiani Innati, con particolare riferimento alla regolazione dell’area di Shenque.
È fondatore e direttore del Beijing Bo’s Abdominal Acupuncture Research Institute e ha svolto un ruolo di primo piano nella formazione, standardizzazione e diffusione internazionale dell’Agopuntura Addominale. È stato inoltre presidente fondatore del Comitato per la Trasmissione dell’Agopuntura Addominale della World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS).
